Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was a television personality, a former chef in the Institute of Culinary Education and she was formerly an instructor of cooking. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at Food Network. Food Network. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature spiky blond locks and pumped up personality, provides easy techniques anyone can master. Chef Burrell is also a part of the top New York establishments, learned about Italian food, its culture and traditions as well as was a contestant on Food Network's Iron Chef America. Early on, while growing up in New York's Upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was where she studied to earn an English degree and a Communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America is a wonderful adventure. The Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic opportunity to pursue a degree. After graduating Chef Burrell lived in Italy for one year studying at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. She also worked in La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin starred restaurant) located in Tuscany. In Italy she gained an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian cuisine and its culture. This will have a significant impact on how Burrell prepares her food. Burrell was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to improve the lives of kids facing problems. Additionally, she is a Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity ambassador who promotes awareness of the condition known as juvenile diabetes. She travels frequently around the country in her role in the capacity of mentor and guest speaker where she discusses her professional life and the joy of cooking. Anne declared that she felt fortunate to be able to communicate her love of cooking to other people.
