Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress born in Berkeley on the 1st of October 1996. Her work as an actress is popular for Choices (2010, The Heart and Other Small Shapes, 2006) as well as Chrissie Mair's Content House, 2022.
Asia Argento is an Italian actress and film-maker born into a large family. She has also pursued film and acting. The Church, directed by Michele Soavi, was her debut role. Red Wood Pigeon, the film she appeared in as Nanni Moretti's daughter was released a year later. It came from Close Friends by Michele Placido that saw Asia's acting career explode. Cannes International Film Festival received the movie well. Daria Nicholodi is one of Argento's favorites actresses and performed the part of an anorexic child searching for their killer. Asia was in Dario's The Phantom of the Opera, the third film she directed with her dad. The other two included Trauma as well as The Stendhal Syndrome. In 1993, she starred alongside the Perdiamoci of Carlo Verdone di vista, in which she played Arianna who was a disabled girl. This was an intricate and difficult part that earned her the David di Donatello award for the best actress. She was also a featured role in the cast international of Queen Margot directed by Patrice Chereau. In 1995 she worked with Michel Piccoli in Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio which again brought her a David diDonatello and a Grolla d'oro. Asia began directing short films in 1994. In addition, she directed an episode for the movie De Generazione. 1996 saw her make a documentary along with her father. 1998 was the year she directed AbelAsia about the famous filmmaker Abel Ferrara. This film received a prize from the Rome Film Festival. In 1999, Asia began her film-directing career by directing Scarlet Diva where she played the lead actress and author of the screenplay. In May 2000, the film became available to the public worldwide. The Williamsburg Festival for Films held in Brooklyn, New York awarded it a top prize.
